Uncategorized / February 14, 2025

Excerpt: This second webinar, part of the Disaster Risk Stakeholder Hub Webinar Series, will take place online on 26 February 2025, from 13:00 to 14:00 CET.

With climate change increasing the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, local authorities and decision-makers need reliable digital tools to enhance preparedness and response strategies. This webinar will explore the role of community-based web portals in supporting disaster risk management (DRM) and climate change adaptation (CCA).

Bringing together experts, policymakers, and researchers, the session will focus on how digital platforms can facilitate real-time information sharing, improve coordination, and enhance local resilience during disasters. Participants will gain first-hand insights through a panel discussion and engage directly with experts in a live Q&A session.

Agenda:

13:00 – 13:10 | Welcome & Introduction
13:10 – 13:50 | Panel Discussion on Digital Platforms in DRM & CCA
13:50 – 14:00 | Live Q&A & Conclusion

Registration is free on CMINE at this link, and all registered participants will receive the webinar link via email.
