The Hut at the Disaster Resilience Days

Project Update / October 20, 2025

Excerpt: The HuT was represented at the Disaster Resilience Days, held in Brussels under the Community for European Research and Innovation for Security (CERIS) initiative.

From The Hut, Maria Vittoria and Raffaella Russo, joined experts, institutional representatives, innovators, and researchers from across Europe to discuss resilience and preparedness in the face of disasters.

The event featured presentations from national Civil Protection authorities, DG HOME officials (the event’s host), experts from the Joint Research Centre (JRC), and leading industry demonstrations.

Throughout the sessions, The HuT team contributed to the discussions, exchanged reflections with participants, and strengthened connections with other European projects and stakeholders committed to enhancing disaster resilience and cooperation between research, institutions, and communities.

This participation reinforced The HuT’s mission to connect science, technology, and society in building safer, more resilient futures for all.
