Multi-hazard DRR Academy for Young Researchers and Practitioners

Excerpt: Academy will be a valuable experience for all participants, providing a platform to learn, share, and collaborate on innovative approaches to multi-hazard DRR. For this reason, we would like to invite the Early Career Scientists and Practitioners from the "The HuT" project to participate in this unique opportunity!

The Academy aims to bring together around 30/40 Early-Career Researchers (ECRs) and Early-Career Practitioners (ECPs) to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge sharing in multi-hazard Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). Participants will engage in various interactive formats, including thematic break-out workshops, hands-on activities, and a field excursion to observe the impacts of multi-hazard events.

Key Highlights:

  • Interactive Workshops:  Led by participants with support from senior scientists.
  • Field Excursion:  Observing the impacts of multi-hazard events in coastal areas north of Barcelona and the Tordera basin.
  • Scientific and Social Activities:  Including a Serious Game night and networking events.
  • Soft-skill Workshops:  Enhancing science communication, data management, and collaboration capabilities.

  • Confirmation of Participation through Payment:  September 13, 2024

The Academy is organized by a consortium of four European projects (PARATUS, MYRIAD-EU, The HuT, and DIRECTED), ensuring a diverse and enriching program.
