Excerpt: The HuT's coordinator presented the project in a roundtable with other fellow projects

The HuT’s partners attend one of the roundtables organised by CERIS entitled “FACING HIGH IMPACT LOW PROBABILITY EVENTS DISRUPTING OUR SOCIETIES”.

The Community for European Research and Innovation for Security (CERIS) is a platform that gathers several stakeholders (policy makers, end-users, academia, industry and civil society) to analyse needs and gaps in the corresponding areas, identify solutions to address the gaps, translate potential solutions into research needs and integrate the views of citizens.

The roundtable was held within the framework of SICUR, an international conference in Madrid on the topic of security, cybersecurity, security against emergencies and fires.

Several fellow projects such as PARATUS, GOBEYOND and TeamAware, attended the event to discuss extreme climate events and natural chapters response to foster a united front for the disaster risk reduction.

It was a great opportunity to hear what the other fellow projects are working on to find synergies and potential collaborations opportunities. Such events also increases the cooperation between research and policy, and between innovation and technological development.
