Amsterdam / June 12, 2024

Excerpt: Addressing Compound and Multi-Hazard Risk

In June, the 3rd international conference on natural hazards and risks in a changing world will be organised by the MYRIAD_EU project and Risk KAN (Knowledge Action Network) and NatRiskChange.

This edition will take place in Amsterdam and will feature both plenary and parallel sessions. The goal is to bring stakeholders (policy makers, scientists, practitioners and research organisations) together and break the silos between different communities.

Some of the topics that will be discussed are:

  • stakeholder engagement and knowledge co-creation to enhance effective multi-risk management
  • AI and machine learning for multi-risk assessment
  • narratives for multi-hazard decision making
  • nature-based solutions for disaster risk reduction

and many other topics!
